  • Community action agency. COCAA says its Cleveland County office provides direct help, or referrals, for families to meet clothing, utility and housing costs.

Age 21 or younger and without a home?

Homeless Youth ID Program (Service Oklahoma)

Free state ID card for qualifying youth up to age 21 who get help from a homeless support program.

Service Oklahoma decides who qualifies. This program covers the state ID card only; it does not pay for a birth certificate or other underlying documents.

What to bring and who qualifies
  • State program. Service Oklahoma says qualifying unaccompanied children and youth up to age 21 receiving services through homeless support programs can receive a REAL ID Noncompliant State Identification Card at no cost, without a parent's signature.
  • Service Oklahoma says to bring proof of identity (most commonly a birth certificate or U.S. passport), a notarized letter on letterhead from a homeless shelter, transitional living program, school McKinney-Vento liaison or Continuum of Care lead agency, and a Social Security number (the physical card is not required).
