Recovery & Support

My Recovery Learning Path
Ten story-based sessions about communication, relationships, and recovery.
Learning and practice — not treatment, not a score. Nothing you write in these lessons is saved or sent anywhere. This is software. It can help you learn, practice, and find information. It is not a person, therapist, sponsor, or emergency service. You make your own choices.
Teach navigation, not a prescribed outcome. Protect dignity, choice, consent, and the right to pause.
How each lesson moves: Big idea → See it → Notice it → Try it → Think about it → Practice it → Use it today.
Lesson 1
Words and What They Carry
What someone says has the words, and it can also carry a message about the relationship. When you are not sure what they meant, you can ask.
Lesson 2
When Messages Don’t Match
Sometimes a person says one thing and their actions or tone say another. You can notice that the messages don’t match and say so calmly.
Lesson 3
Pause, Notice, Choose
Between what happens and what you say next, there can be a short pause. In that pause you can notice what is going on and choose your words.
Lesson 4
When Talk Gets Stuck in a Loop
Some conversations go the same way again and again. Asking plainly for what you want can help the talk go somewhere new.
Lesson 5
Talking to Connect, Talking to Compete
Some talk brings people closer. Some talk turns into a contest. You can choose which way to go, and you can ask what the other person wants.
Lesson 6
The Patterns That Connect Us
People in a family, group or circle affect each other. When one person changes, others may change too, in their own way and time.
Lesson 7
Own Your Part and Make a Repair
Owning your part means saying what happened, without blame and without excuses, and choosing a repair you can make.
Lesson 8
Listening Like a Recovery Partner
Many of us listen to answer. A useful skill is listening to understand first.
Lesson 9
Recognition, Service, and Self-Worth
People need to be noticed and valued. You can ask for recognition, give it to others, and help by choice.
Lesson 10
Choose Your Next Step
You can prepare one line for today and choose one small step you own.
Practice with Guide
Rehearse a conversation or think a choice through. Practice and navigation, not treatment.
